After chemo took her hair, family lets little girl battling cancer shave their heads to show they’re all in it together
A little girl, who’s been battling kidney cancer, received a huge mood booster from her family after she had to shave her head due to chemotherapy treatment. So, to lift her spirits and show her they’re all in it together, her family members took turns letting the little one shave their heads too – it was ‘Majical’.
In March 2020, 3 year old Lula Beth was taken into the ER after a month full of exhausting doctor visits and no real answers. At the ER multiple tests were run and her parent’s worst nightmare started unfolding. They found a football sized tumor attached to her left kidney.
She was diagnosed with Stage 2 Wilms, a pediatric kidney cancer. Thankfully, doctors were successful in removing the full tumor and kidney. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and just finished round number 10.
Despite everything she’s been through in the last few month, she has stayed strong, brave and has kept a full smile on her face. But her family knew the day would come where chemo would force her to shave her head.
As her parents got ready to shave their daughter’s sweet head, they couldn’t help but wonder what she would think being a little girl who’s obsessed with all things girly.
But to much of their surprise, her reply to it all was, “let’s do it right now!” So, she grabbed the clippers and shaved her own head, followed by doing her brothers heads too.
At that point, multiple family members volunteered to have their heads shaved too. In total, Lula Beth got to shave 6 other family members’ head’s including her Daddy’s. It was a day this family will never forget. She is so loved.
