Mom of two brilliantly edits annual Christmas card to include military husband who’s serving overseas
The holidays can be a tough time of year for our service men, women, and their families – especially when they might be deployed overseas.
But one woman wasn’t about to let that stop her from making a memory that has made thousands on social media explode with the all the feels.
A mom of two boys came up with a brilliant way to incorporate her military husband into this year’s family Christmas card – especially since this is the first time he’ll be spending a holiday away from his family.
Since the mom, Danielle Cobo, really wanted him to be a part of this year’s family photo, she had photographer Shannon Sturgeon digitally place him in the shot with her and the two boys – it was Majical.
“He was happy to be part of the photos,” Cobo of Tampa, Florida, told Good Morning America.
“He’s having a hard time being away from [us] during the holidays.” GMA reported.
Cobo said her husband, a helicopter pilot, is currently overseas and will not be spending Christmas at home with her and their 2-year-old twins.
“There’s a lot of family members that are away from their spouses and kids that don’t have their parents around during the holidays because of them being in the military,” Cobo said. “It’s a sacrifice among everybody.”
Cobo is looking forward to mailing the cards to family and friends, she said. It’s a moment that won’t soon forget.
