Mom who survived cancer makes memories with magical “UP” photoshoot for 5-year-old son & his great-grandparents
Rachel Perman was having a great life. She turned a passion into a business with her photography; she had a lovely family with beautiful twins recently added to it.
When she received the news of a cancer diagnosis, it completely devastated her. She had just given birth to two twins and now she didn’t know if she would even see them grow up.
Seeing Elijah and Emilee’s fifth birthdays seemed like a far-off dream. Her oldest child was five at that point and the idea that she would miss that milestone for her newborn miracles was heartbreaking.
Fast forward to those birthdays and Rachel has celebrated them in the most magical way. She beat cancer after a year and is in remission.
However, she can still very much recall those thoughts and fears. She channeled them into two dream photo shoots for her twin children.
Elijah, absolutely taken with the movie ‘Up‘ got to pose as Russel while Carl is Elijah’s own grandfather who is the spitting image of the famous character. Emilee’s photo shoot was with a horse dressed to look like a Unicorn. Fantastical.
Rachel used her gift of life and victory over cancer to celebrate a day she thought she’d never get to see.
She knows life is precious and recognizes it. She gave her children memories that will last a lifetime and will forever commemorated I’m these photos. Now that’s some powerful Majic.
